Cairngorms Connect: A 200-Year Rewilding Plan

Cairngorms Connect is a partnership of four neighbouring land managers - RSPB Scotland, Wildland Limited, Forestry and Land Scotland and NatureScot - working across 60,000 hectares of the Cairngorms National Park in Scotland. Since 2015 the partnership has pursued an unusually long 200-year vision to let native pinewoods regenerate, restore rivers and floodplains, and rewet blanket bog for carbon storage and wildlife such as capercaillie and wildcat. It is Britain's largest habitat restoration project, growing thousands of native trees a year in its own tree nursery.
