Carbon Tanzania — Community Forests Funded by Carbon

Carbon Tanzania works with indigenous and rural communities — including Hadza hunter-gatherers — to secure land rights and develop land-use plans that keep dryland forests standing. Verified emissions reductions are sold as carbon credits, with revenue flowing directly to the communities for health, education, and infrastructure. Its projects protect habitat for chimpanzees, elephants, lions, and other threatened wildlife.
