Founded in 1994, EcoPeace Middle East runs offices in Tel Aviv, Amman and Ramallah to advance cross-border water and environmental cooperation despite ongoing political conflict. Its flagship campaign targets rehabilitation of the Lower Jordan River, whose flow has been reduced by roughly 96% through decades of upstream diversion by Israel, Jordan and Syria. EcoPeace's research has quantified the water volumes needed to revive the river and shaped a regional master plan of investments for its restoration.
