Founded in 2001, Oceana campaigns in countries that together govern a large share of the world's wild fish catch, pushing for science-based fishery management, habitat protection, and pollution reduction. It has won more than 325 concrete policy victories and protected over 4 million square miles of ocean, including bottom-trawling bans and new marine protected areas.
