Rainforest Trust

Founded in 1988, Rainforest Trust partners with local organizations to purchase and legally protect threatened tropical habitats around the world. Its work secures permanent protection for some of the planet's most endangered species and ecosystems. In 2025 the organization surpassed 60 million acres of rainforest habitat protected worldwide, with tens of millions more acres in progress.
