SolarAid

SolarAid combats poverty and climate change by making solar lights available in some of the most remote, off-grid communities of sub-Saharan Africa, primarily Zambia and Malawi, through its social enterprise SunnyMoney. Solar lights replace toxic, expensive kerosene lamps, saving families money while cutting emissions and improving health and study time. By 2024 SolarAid had distributed 2.3 million solar lights and positively impacted more than 10 million people.
