The Great Bubble Barrier pumps air through a perforated tube laid diagonally across a waterway, creating a bubble curtain that lifts plastic to the surface and guides it into a catchment system while fish and vessels pass freely. Its first long-term installation in Amsterdam's Westerdok canal has run since 2019, and the company now operates five Bubble Barrier projects across the Netherlands and Portugal. It was a 2022 Earthshot Prize finalist.
